A downloadable game

Winter is upon us and whilst we wait for the spring we are all changing. But change can be painful so we need to lean into the little joys.

This is a game, but it is also a way to spend a relaxed and cosy evening getting to know your friends better.

There are rules and there should be a winner but it takes the rest of winter to play.

A group of friends must set out how they want to change before the end of winter and their friends must help them by setting challenges that both bring joy and encourage them to change.

I highly recommend playing this game around a fireplace with a mug of steaming hot drink in your hands.

For solo players, you can use the rules at the bottom of page 2 to complete the same basic structure. Trust the rolls of the dice to decide your fate.

Honestly, I am not sure if this should be called an TTRPG game but because it encourages communication and a level of vulnerability I think the TTRPG Safety Tools might be helpful.

I say this isn't strictly a TTRPG but nothing is stopping you from playing this game in character or as a way to structure some downtime for your party.  How do your characters want to change and what are they willing to do to achieve that change?

Originally made for the Cozy Winter Jam 2025. So the theme is very winter focused and cozy. But I am sharing it under a CC license because I am very happy for anyone to take the basic structure and create their own versions based on different themes and ideas. Or just create bespoke challenge lists.  Whilst we wait for the spring  © 2025 by Gareth blindfish is licensed under CC BY 4.0

I loooove this idea of setting joyful and cozy resolutions! (Especially challenges 6 and 12) I'm gonna send this to a couple friends to do this with :^)

I'm glad you like the idea. Resolutions can feel a bit stale to me after a couple of weeks and I thought I could gamify the process with some friends. Bring some joy to the process I hope.

Challenges 6 and 12 were written as a pair. I hope your friends pick them for you!
